band bio:

Annie Vergnetti’s music can be described as “edgy folkrock with a twist of slide and grit. Mix in whiskey sprit, folkster sensibility and a pinch of playful banter; shake, stir, slip in a beer back and serve with careful abandonment.”   She is a co-founder of Goddess Get Down, a nonprofit musical showcase for women, and has played multiple festivals, including Pride (Oregon, Washington, and Arizona), Go Girl MusicFest, Siren Nation and Out/Loud Festival.

Annie loves improvisation and creating songs on the spot with input from the audience. Utilizing her sketch comedy background, she has played at the national queer comedy festival, Siren Nation’s Broadcast, Curious Comedy, and various comedy shows around Portland.   Editor-in-chief of The Advocate, Diane Anderson Minshall said, “Lesbian singer-songwriters are a dime a dozen, and honestly, many of them are quite good. My unsung hero is musician Annie Vergnetti, whom I fell in love with after seeing her sing at HRC’s [Human Rights Campaign] L Word finale.” Annie has a warm, infectious, creative delivery in all she does and has become a staple in the Portland indie/folk scene.
