The Yellin' Degenerates
@ The Station
Saturday, November 29th
7:00 pm
Get ready for a night where jazz, funk, soul, and blues blend into an electrifying, improvisation-driven and americana-infused experience. The Yellin’ Degenerates bring their shape-shifting sound to The Station on Saturday, November 29th, for an eclectic performance powered by four artists who live and breathe musical expression.
John Pinetree, multi-instrumentalist and storyteller, brings his bass-baritone voice, guitar grooves, and searing harmonica to songs that explore hope, love, movement, compassion, loss, and gratitude. He and the band move fluidly from old-school blues and jazz into neo-soul and funk, always honoring improvisation and the spirit of the audience.
Jose “Juicy” Gonzales, pianist and singer—rooted in jazz, fueled by the blues, marinated in funk—has performed internationally and been featured on BBC Radio 2. Influenced by Monk, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Miles Davis, as well as Elton John, The Beatles, and Prince, Juicy’s sound is vibrant and expressive. His beloved A Charlie Brown Christmas show has sold out one of Seattle’s biggest venues for 11 years straight.
Rounding out the ensemble are bassist Michael Marcus, laying down warm, intuitive low-frequency foundations, and drummer Emory Miedema-Boyajian, whose dynamic rhythms drive the band’s ever-shifting soundscape.
Expect bold solos, spontaneous interplay, infectious grooves, and a room alive with creativity. Wine Shop Vashon will be serving wine, beer and bites. Join us for an unforgettable evening!
Tickets: $10 presale (venmo @pinetree-music) or $15 at the door and day of.
