Vashon Island Growers Association (VIGA) is an organization on Vashon Island working to promote farming, access to healthy food, and a sustainable agricultural economy on Vashon Island Washington through education, advocacy, and a vibrant farmers market. Vashon Island is successfully championing local growers and producers of healthy and nutritious food. The Saturday Market continues to expand along with members and supporters. The number of farmers and the amount of land being farmed is steadily increasing as are the number of food entrepreneurs attracted to this resource. Vashon Island grown and produced food has a respected reputation and market share throughout the region and contributes substantially to the local economy and a resilient regional food system. If you know of a Farm Stand that you would like added to the map, contact VIGA at board@vigavashon.org and they can encourage them to become a VIGA member to receive this amazing benefit.

Pink Tractor Farm is located in the lush paradise valley of Vashon Island. Old growth apple trees, wild nettle and blackberry patches, and roaming pheasants are a common sight amongst the verdant rolling farmland. Farmers stock the stand on Tuesdays & Fridays (except when holidays fall on those days). Winter notes: “Our farm stand will stay open through the winter. It is pretty much always open. We harvest (kale, cilantro, leeks, carrots, cilantro, Bay leaves) on Tuesdays and Fridays. Sometimes it works out that everything is gone two days after the harvest, and other times the last of stuff harvested one day is still there the morning of the next harvest. WILD DREAMS FARM AND SEEDS
A shy two acre piece of land on Vashon Island’s west side, is lovingly tended Jennifer Williams, alongside her family and friends. Over time this piece of land has transformed from a blackberry thicket to a market garden to a lavender farm to a homestead and finally today, to a biodiverse food, medicine and seed farm.
