Advertising with Vashon Events is easy and starts at just $25.

Vashon Events is a nonprofit organization and is the place to discover what is happening on Vashon Island, Washington. When you advertise with us, you are helping provide our community with a one-stop community calendar of all the events happening on Vashon Island while keeping the music playing.

Website:

Our website gets over 4,800 unique visitors every month. The cost to advertise your event on www.vashonevents.com is only $25. Your event will be posted on the website from the time you submit your form until the day of your event.

Social Media:

Your $25 also includes posts on our social media. Our Facebook page has over 2,250 Facebook followers and Facebook is, by far, the most used social media tool on the Island.  Be sure to “like” our Vashon Events Facebook page so you see that we are posting about YOUR event! Click HERE to “like” us!

Newsletter:

And that’s not all! Your $25 also puts your event on our weekly Sunday morning newsletter, The Vashon Skinny, on the week of your event. Our newsletter goes out every Sunday at 8:00am. The newsletter has over 3,000 subscribers and is continuously growing. NOTE: We must receive your advertisement no later than the Thursday before the Sunday newsletter goes out.

A Note About Your Poster

Vashon is an island full of artists, designers, photographers, and creative people, and our community has made it clear that they value real, human-made art. We've heard from many neighbors that they're less likely to attend an event when the poster appears to be AI-generated, so we strongly encourage you to submit artwork created by a person. That could be your own design, a photo from a past event, or a poster made by a local artist or designer. We also know that hiring a designer isn’t in every budget, so how you create your poster is totally up to you. A simple poster you make yourself is just as welcome. If you'd like to design your own, Canva (www.canva.com) is a great free resource with easy-to-use templates, fonts, and layouts. Just skip its AI image and design features and build your poster yourself. A simple, hand-crafted poster often connects better with our readers than a polished AI image, and choosing local talent is one more way to support the creative community that makes Vashon special. Your event deserves the best possible turnout, and a poster made by human hands is a great way to help get it.
