Formed in late 2018, Basement Tuesdays is a punk rock super group. The trio consists of members from 20 Eyes, Ouch Pouch, and Petrichor. Born in New York City in 1950, then growing up in White Meadow Lake, New Jersey, Bob Krinsky has a lifetime passion for songwriting under his belt. CARTER CASTLE
Carter Castle, who classifies himself more as a ‘folk-driven’ singer/songwriter, says his music definitely carries elements of blues. “Sometimes it’s about oppression and grief; other times it’s farcical. Blues was the foundation for so many other musical art forms to follow,” says Castle. “I like ‘roots’ music and blues is the ultimate roots music.” Originally from Maryland, Castle played the 1980’s Greenwich Village music scene. He performed with the likes of Iris Dement and Rod MacDonald and soloed in Seattle area venues including The Tractor Tavern and Folklife Festival. DREW PISTON
Originating from Northern Idaho, Drew Piston was let loose on the world shortly after the disappearance of Harris Burdick. He quickly learned to conceal his panache and wicked insight behind a facade of normalcy, but to this day is unable to mask his inexplicable appeal to buzzards and other scavengers of the animal kingdom. Nowadays, Piston can be found on the islands of the Salish Sea, building songs out of c-clamps and storm clouds or hibernating beneath a blanket of slingshots and omelets. Relying on woody guitars and his traffic-like voice, he rarely frightens American audiences.

Elaine Summers is a singer-songwriter, producer, artist, activist, and just a pretty amazing woman. This is Elaine's first full length solo record - she signed a deal in 1996 with Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard to his label Loosegroove Records. The song "The Real Low Down" was in the movie "Coming Soon" and song, "Gone to Stay" was in the movie "Homegrown". The record came out in 1997. Gus Reeves has been writing and recording original material and collaborating professionally for over a decade. Jennifer Stills has been a Singer/Song Writer for over two decades now. She has recently transplanted from Portland to her new nest on Vashon Island. She is the daughter of the American rock musician Stephen Stills and has been playing her sultry soulful songs from LA to Hollywood, Phoenix to Nashville and now Portland to Seattle. Needing a quiet comfortable and inspiring place to continue to develop herself and her music, she now calls Vashon home. Joe Panzetta is a multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter and composer. He fronts the alt-folk rock band, Saint Ophelia, and has released 9 self-produced albums. His 2010 album, Sat Sangeet, which features mantras from Buddhist, Hindu and Kundalini Yoga traditions recorded with a lush sonic landscape garners most of his 3k monthly listeners on Spotify. John Schuh is a founding member of Koolylootch, the early 90s Freak Folk Hootenanny combo from Madison, Wisconsin known for its members swapping instruments between songs and doing their early gigs with a single snare drum. John recorded his solo album Showtime at Madison's Smart Studios in December, 1993. After moving to Seattle, John played bass in the World Music group Skinwalkers and the Avant Jazz outfit Free Radical Quartet. John lives on Vashon Island near Seattle, where he continues to perform and display his visual art. PURCHASE

Julia Hanowell grew up on Vashon and has continued to play music ever since she first stepped on stage her freshman year at VHS’s Open Mic. She wrote ten original songs while living in a wonderful home in Oakland that was named “the Meyer Lemon House” because of the beautiful lemon tree, garden, and chickens that she and her roommates looked after. Kevin Bernardo Almeida grew up in LA’s San Fernando Valley where he began playing upright bass in the 4th grade. He studied with Nat Gangursky for 3 yrs and soon took up a Fender fretless-electric bass to play with the school jazz band. At this time bands like the Eagles, America, Crosby-Stills-Nash, Little Feat and Neil Young captured his head and he learned to play enough steel stringed guitar to get himself heard and color his future songwriting. Today he plays solid body, acoustic-electric and upright basses and acoustic guitar, writes songs and sings from deep-down in his life and heart. PURCHASE
KEVIN JOYCE
Kevin is a singer/songwriter, actor, writer and director. He has toured Europe as a soloist with a Spanish Choir, composed music for Buffoons with UMO Ensemble, sang with Joan Baez in Teatro Zinzanni, and posted youtube videos singing upside-down with a face on his chin. Kevin was a member of the Vashon band Good Dog in the early 90’s, along with the usual suspect. Most of his most popular music is satirical and inappropriate for family audiences, unless they are families familiar with inappropriate material. Vocalist/pianist/songwriter Maggie Laird performs originals, jazz standards, and a range of multi-genre favorites. Mamiffer is an American band based in Seattle, Washington. It started out as a solo project for former Pyramids and Everlovely Lightningheart member Faith Coloccia that later saw several session musicians and collaborators, most consistently Aaron Turner of Isis fame and who would later become Coloccia's husband. MIKE DUMOVICH
Mike Dumovich is a singer-songwriter and storyteller whose pensive music displays a soulful depth and fragile nuance, held together by his radiant guitar plucking. A native son, his lyrics are rife with idiosyncratic imagery and metaphors that speak to growing up in the woods of the Pacific Northwest and the pastoral life of Vashon. He’s had the privilege of working with artists such as Eyvind Kang, Laura Veirs, Bill Frisell, Josh Tillman, and Karl Blau on previous records and shows, and is also known for his charitable work on Island. Kevin Moe grew up right here on Vashon Island. The isolation and tranquility of island life led him to the pathway of music from a very early age. Kevin took his first guitar lesson at age 10. He played clarinet and oboe in the school band. Kevin passed the time by perfecting his craft. ONENITESTAND
In 2013, OneNiteStand decided they wanted to record some orginal songs. First, they had to pick which songs they wanted to do that might best reflect what they felt represented their wackiness with hidden talents hidden beneath. Sometime in June of that year they set up some time at Jeff Woollen’s studio on Vashon. After laying down 8 tunes, they decided to take it upon themselves to add the rest of the tracks in their own studios. They already had the basic stuff in the can and only needed to add some solos and voice. Ouch Pouch was formed in the winter of 2016, bringing together bassist and lead singer Joziah Cladoosby, guitarist Isaiah Montemayor, and drummer Chick Green. You may know Petrichor as a band made up of two recent VHS graduates, or you may know it as the smell of the earth after it rains. A collection of mostly acoustic original songs with a swampy vibe written and recorded over many years. I grew up mucking about in marshes and swamps and that feel is reflected here. All songs were written by me and recorded in my home studio with the occasional help of a few friends. Special thanks to Stephen Bean and Jim Brinkley on keyboard, Curt Blumer harmonica and Mark Goldman drums. Some robot also helped out with percussion.
