Join us on January 13th, 2026, 5–7 PM at the Vashon Land Trust Building for a special poetry reading celebrating The Nature of Our Times: Poems on America's Lands, Waters, Wildlife, and Other Natural Wonders—a shared initiative featuring over 200 voices from artists, ecologists, academics, and Indigenous communities all across North America.

Featured readers include:

-Derek Sheffield, Washington State Poet Laureate

-David Hassler, Kent St. University, co-editor of the anthology

-Several anthology contributors, including Lara Volski and Ching-In Chen

-Vashon Island poets, including Ann Spiers, Margaret Roncone, Sandra Noel, and Mary G. L. Shackelford
