Join Vashon Center for the Arts for a free screening of SELMA, the Oscar-nominated film directed by Ava DuVernay. In recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we gather to remember Dr. King’s groundbreaking leadership and enduring impact on the civil rights movement.

DESCRIPTION: The marches from Selma, Ala., to Montgomery to secure voting rights for black Americans are depicted in this docudrama set during the U.S. Civil Rights Movement, and which focuses on the actions of Martin Luther King Jr.
