PATTIE HANMER'S 8-Week Workshop: "It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again"

VASHON ISLAND, WA — Hummingbird Hill Retreat & Sanctuary is proud to announce a transformative 8-week workshop, "It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again: Discovering Creativity and Meaning at Midlife and Beyond." Led by renowned change agent Pattie Hanmer, the program begins Tuesday, April 14, 2026, offering an intimate group setting designed to reframe aging as a creative opening rather than a closing chapter.

Based on the principles of Julia Cameron’s best-selling work, the workshop provides participants with a roadmap to navigate the unique transitions of midlife. Through the use of memoir, reflection, and community support, participants are guided in "shaking off fears" and reconnecting with their deeper sense of self.

"Late in the book, Cameron writes, ‘we are meant to midwife dreams for one another,’" notes Tom F., a previous participant. "Pattie has served as a most extraordinary midwife, patient and loving, providing just what was needed at the right time."
