Pam Ingalls: Facing the Music
Vashon Center for the Arts
May 1st-31st
First Friday Opening: May 1st, 5-8pm

Pam Ingalls marks a meaningful milestone this May with her newest exhibition, "Facing the Music: Portraits of Vashon Island Musicians", celebrating twenty years (20) of presenting her Vashon portrait shows.

This year’s series turns her attention to Vashon’s musicians, a vibrant and thriving part of the Island’s creative life. Through intimate portraits, Ingalls honors performers whose music forms the soundtrack of the community—many of whom have appeared on the stage of Kay White Hall and helped shape the Island’s rich cultural landscape.

Known for her keen observation and sensitive approach to portraiture, Ingalls paints her subjects not as performers in the spotlight but as individuals. Her works reveal quiet moments of concentration, joy, and vulnerability that speak to years of dedication to their craft.
