Panda Conspiracy Returns to Vashon for the Strawberry Festival After-Party at Sporty's
When the Strawberry Festival winds down for the evening, the party is just getting started.
On Saturday, July 18, Seattle 6pc indie funk collective Panda Conspiracy will bring its high-energy dance party to Sporty's, kicking off a multi-set show at 9:00 p.m. Packed with funk, reggae, soul, rock, soaring vocal harmonies, and horns, the band promises the perfect soundtrack to cap off Strawberry Festival weekend.
For frontman Chris Poage, the performance is also something of a homecoming. Islanders may recognize him from his years performing on Vashon, including appearances at Pacific Crest Farm on Maury Island, his work with Publish the Quest who perform at this year's festival on Friday evening and a well-known music video filmed on the island that was released under his own name.
Panda Conspiracy made an early-day appearance at Ober Park during last year's Strawberry Festival, but this year's late-night performance gives the band the opportunity to do what it does best: fill a room with dancing, singing, and celebration.
The show also offers a glimpse of what's next. Panda Conspiracy has been debuting new original songs throughout 2026 and will begin releasing new singles later this year as the band builds toward its first full-length album in years.
