Get ready for the sweetest Sunday of the summer! Host Pattie Hanmer invites you to The Great Vashon Bake Off, an afternoon packed with delicious food, live music, community cheer, and top-tier local baking talent—all in support of an incredible cause.

The Showdown:

Five talented local bakers will go head-to-head, crafting mouthwatering desserts featuring peak-season August fruits. Our panel of local celebrity judges—Tom Conway, Linda Nygaard, and Kevin Strel—will taste, critique, and crown the ultimate Vashon Dessert Champion!

The Vibe & Festivities:

Live Music on the Lawn: Groove to live tunes performed by ‘Loose Change’ - Troy Kindred Band.

Food & Wine: Delicious wood-fired bites and curated wines provided by Wine Shop Vashon available for purchase.

Baking a Difference (100% Direct Impact!):

All event donations directly support Be Aware & Care Kenya (beawareandcare.org/kenya), a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering young women. 100% of all funds raised go directly to the cause—providing essential health guidance, education resources, and sanitary products to young women in Kenya.
