Join artist Brooke Gassiot for a gallery walk through her exhibition, "Tidal Bodies." Drop in anytime to meet Brooke, hear about her creative process and inspiration, and ask questions about this deeply personal body of work exploring transformation, memory, resilience, and the experience of living in a woman’s body.
Brooke Gassiot ("Gas-ee-OH") is an interdisciplinary artist based on Vashon Island, Washington. Through figurative painting, cyanotype, and sculptural video installation, she explores transitional states in women’s lives, focusing on embodiment, ritual, and healing. She received her BFA with Distinguished Honors from The University ofTexas at Austin, studied in Tuscany, Italy, and has participated in residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Joya: AiR in Spain. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is held in public and private collections including the Kinsey Institute.
