Potluck Purim party at the Havurah. Come dressed in costume ready to party! The first half will be shmoozing, eating dinner and hamentaschen and listening to the amazing music of the Talne Trio Klezmer band.

For the music intermission, Suzanne Greenberg will tell the Purim story. Come ready to make noise!

The second set of the music will be concert style so we can focus on the amazing music this talented trio is sharing with us.

The Talne Trio

The Talne Trio presents a distinctive interpretation of klezmer music, drawing on "nearly lost" late–19th-century manuscripts, mid-20th-century recordings of Jewish instrumental music, and original compositions and arrangements by the trio.

The ensemble features Kim Goldov (violin, mandolin, shtroyfidl), Mark Lutwak (piano, accordion), and Aaron Harmonson (bass)—three musicians with deep roots in folk, traditional, and contemporary music scenes.
