For the Friday & Saturday night showing of The Wren, join Ghost Boat Founder and Whiskey-aficionado Steven Sterne for a special pre-show Irish Whiskey Tasting at The Wren Bar on the stage. Featuring samples of 4 Fine and Rare Irish Whiskies, this unique opportunity is highly limited and not to be missed!

Triple distilling is a hallmark of Irish whiskey and it leads to a cleaner, smoother dram, compared with other malt whiskeys like scotch, which are generally double distilled.
Meet the Whisky:
1. Bushmill’s 12 Year Old Single Malt (courtesy of Kelly Godell), finished in Bourbon, Sherry, and Marsala casks. 80 Proof. Triple Distilled in a copper pot still from 100% unmalted barley, then some spirit aged in bourbon casks and some aged in sherry casks for over 11 years, then combined and aged together in Marsala casks for 6-9 months. Smooth and fruity, balanced and very approachable.
2. Yellow Spot 12 Year Single Pot Still whiskey, finished in Bourbon, Sherry, and Malaga casks. 92 Proof. The mashbill contains malted and unmalted barley, and after triple distilling in traditional copper pot stills, the distillate is then aged for at least 12 years - some in Bourbon casks, some in Sherry casks, and some in Malaga casks. More oily and intensely flavored than the Bushmill’s, but very drinkable.
3. Redbreast 15 year Single Pot Still whiskey, 92 Proof. Combination of malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled, some aged in first fill oak barrels and some aged in ex-fill sherry and ex-fill bourbon casks. Rich, aromatic, and complex.
4. Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt whiskey, finished in Bourbon and Sauternes casks. No age statement. 92 proof. Balance of sweet, fruity notes from the wine casks with the smoke from the peated malted barley. The triple distilling process used by Teeling brings the smoky, peaty quality into balance, compared with peated scotch like Ardbeg, Lagavulin, or Laphroaig, which are double distilled and considerably more phenolic than Blackpitts.
