Live Music at Wine Shop Vashon: Two Drifters

Join us at Wine Shop Vashon on First Friday, August 7th, 2026, starting at 6 p.m. for an evening of live music with Two Drifters, a heartfelt cross-continental collaboration between Portland-based violinist and songwriter Kathryn Claire and Amsterdam-based guitarist and storyteller Margot Merah.

The duo’s musical journey began in an Amsterdam pub in 2013 and has since grown into a unique collaboration spanning oceans, cultures, and musical traditions. Blending Claire’s classical and traditional music roots and poetic lyricism with Merah’s rhythmic guitar playing and deeply personal storytelling, Two Drifters creates music that is tender, honest, and beautifully intuitive.

With violin, guitar, ukulele, bodhrán, and their distinctive voices, these multi-instrumentalists bring an intimate and soulful sound to the stage—proving that sometimes home is less a place than a feeling.
