Fall Equinox Sound Bath & Harvest Tea Ceremony
Open Space for Arts & Community
Sunday, September 20th
7:00-8:30 pm
Doors at 6:30 pm
Celebrate the balance of light and dark by reflecting on and offering gratitude for the radiant abundance Mother Earth has offered us this year at the traditional time of the final harvest.
We will begin with an hour of sound bathing. Through the sounds of chakra attuned singing bowls, gong, rhythmic drumming, and chimes your bioenergetic field (the aura) is gently cleansed and your nervous system shifts into a parasympathetic state (rest and digest). We know from research the benefits beyond rest include lowering blood pressure and cortisol levels. This provides a sense of balance and calmness, leaving you feeling well rested. Our Solstice sound experience will be a fully improvised production with melodies inspired by the warming and relaxed feeling of falling asleep by the campfire.
We will then have a tea ceremony featuring locally grown and harvested herbs which focus on warming your body and inspiring reflection as we move towards the season of compost and stillness. This will include a homemade brewed tea of Cronewort, Yarrow, Rosemary, and Sage. This blend invites the wisdom of the archetype of the crone or wise woman, a warm heart, and a clear mind.
Tickets: $35
