Cruise through, tap your toes to some tunes, grab a burger, and catch up with old friends. And don’t forget to tip your hat to the Engels—they’re the reason this ride keeps rolling.

Islanders can ogle hot rods, roadsters, muscle cars and other fossil-fueled finery when Engels Repair and Towing hosts its annual car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at 22725 Dockton Road SW.

For Paul Engels — the third-generation operator of the 75-year-old family-owned service station — the show is a labor of love.
